Things to study.... types of tissues, organs and organ systems, plant systems, diagrams, interactions between systems... global warming, greenhouse effect and greenhouse gasses, impacts of climate change, feedback loops, proxy records
Review sources of light and examples, laws of reflection, the index of refraction and the imaging rules for locating an image in a concave mirror and a convex lens. You should also be able to describe the image using the SALT characteristics.
We focussed on the Law of Conservation of Mass, Naming Compounds, Writing Chemical Formulas, Balancing Chemical Equations and Classifying the Type of Chemical Reaction.
Today's class you can work on your concept map and or your Global Warming news report. The concept maps are due on Friday, January 18th and the News Report is due on Monday, January 21st.
Today we started this assignment. You will need to write a one-page News Report on Global warming. You will need to decide if this warming is caused by humans or if it is a naturally caused event. We will watch 2 documentaries as research for this assignment. The first documentary is: An Inconvenient Truth.
Today we took a note on direct and proxy records of climates.
Homework: Read pages 358-360 and answer questions #1-7 on page 361. Today we learned about potential impacts of climate change and how those impacts can have a positive and negative feedback loop on temperature.
Hmk.- Read pages 373-378, #1-7 on pg. 378 Today we took a note on Climate Change and drew a diagram of Earth's Energy Budget.
