Balancing Equations Quiz
Lab #1 was handed back and discussed. Read over Lab for Monday and create a data table with all the correct formulas for the reactants. Can you predict what the products might be? Today we learned about the 4 different types of chemical reactions, how to identify them and predict the products.
We completed a worksheet and practiced balancing the different equations. Hmk. Read pages 237-239, ques #1-3 on pg. 239/ Read pages 240-243, ques #3,4,5 on pg 243 *** Balancing equations quiz tomorrow! Read pages 233-236 in text and answer questions #1-8 on page 236
Keep practicing... we will have a balancing equations quiz on Friday~ Today we learned how to write skeleton equations from word equations and then how to balance the equation.
2 worksheets to practice! Today we summarized our results from the lab and took a note on the law of conservation of mass.
We learned how to count atoms in preparation for balancing equations. Hmk: Read pages 230-232 and answer questions #1a, 2, 4 & 6 Per. 2: Liturgy/ Comparing Molecules organizer: due on Monday Per. 3: Lab: write up due on Friday! Today we talked about scientific method and lab safety. Our first lab is tomorrow!
Please read over lab (pages 228-229) and copy data table on page 228. Today we took a note on chemical reactions and how to write word equations.
Hmk: Read pages 225-227 and answer questions #1-5 & 7 Today we created a graphic organizer to review the 3 types of compounds: ionic, polyatomic and molecular
